I have nothing but sympathy for this and every other HOA/POA board in the country. This has to be the most contentious issue they all face.
Because this issue is so contentious, it needs more investigation before we have all the correct information. So as of now we can only have this vote.
End
Do you think the HOA has handled the compliance issue well?

Not sure how anyone can know the whole truth here…part of the reason for the NDA for POA volunteers are to protect neighbors from outing or doxing neighbors who were tagged with a violation. One should really know his or her own experience.
I’m all for enforcing the rules as we all signed a binding agreement to them when we purchased our properties. I do know our POA has “cures” in the rules for violations which are more than generous in giving the homeowner time to resolve the issue before fines are leveed. In fact, with how the cures are designed, I’d be surprised to hear of very many people who have ever had to actually pay a fine, much less have any legal or lien action taken on them.
This site is not anti-board. Nobody said they are not trying to solve this problem. Yes, everyone signed the documents, but, a majority signed them when the violations were uniformly enforced. This was before the owners ran the POA
Not saying it is anti Board.
Do you have examples where the rules are not uniformly enforced? To me a violation is a violation. You may get away with something due to nobody seeing it or reporting it, but as far as I know, all violations have cures that are very lenient.
Based on the lack of site inspections, a solely dedicated site only property manager can dedicate all its efforts to our community and eliminate the ongoing dilemma by outsourcing TNC. Because The Neighborhood Company (TNC) is the property manager for numerous neighborhoods, do you feel that Vintage Oaks should have a dedicated site only property manager and outsource TNC. The POA can hire within by advertising vacancy annuncements for a
elite management team that can focus all of its efforts here at Vintage Oaks. The management team can be officed at the ops center. This will also provide a great relief to the POA budget. TNC is overpaid!!!
Historically, I’ve seen a few aesthetic issues flagged while actual hazards have been left ignored for years. Perfect example is a lot with a six foot pile of dried wood and fallen cedar trees. This is just waiting for a lightening bolt to ignite the neighborhood. We’ve all read about homes that have been struck and caught on fire because of lightening. Insurance companies are refusing to insure us because we are in a “forested” area. The exposure is frightening and the increased rate of insurance is unfair because property owners aren’t being advised of non-compliance issues.
This is a really hard one to get right. Give the board a break here, they will get it right in the end.
