Vintage oaks, is a vast community, we have enough residents to incorporate into our own city. With 3,300 acres, it is a vast operation to administer.
The POA has been owner run for the last two years. All Members of the Board and committees are maned on a purely volunteer basis. The governing body consists of Nine elected Board members. The Board oversee Five committee’s. The committee’s make recommendation’s to the board for consideration.
So that is the structure of our POA. Now we will go into more detail.
The Board
The board are responsible for nearly all of the final decisions made in our community. This includes but is not limited to the spending and investment of all POA funds. Each Board member is elected for a term of Three years. As far as this site knows, there are no term limits for Board members.
Whether you agree with the Boards decisions or not, REMEMBER, they are all volunteer’s. When they run for office, they were advised that the position would require around 30 hours a month to execute their role. The truth of the matter is, the amount of work each board member does consumes a lot more of their time than they were told it would. The bottom line here is, before you moan about our boards decisions, please remember the time sacrifices they are making for our community. You now have the chance to air your views and exercise the power of your vote on this site.
The Facilities Committee
To advise the Vintage Oaks Board of Directors by recommending and suggesting ways to uphold and improve the facilities and community properties of the Property Owners Association by identifying issues that impact the use and enjoyment of all Vintage Oaks community properties and amenities including the sport complex, pools, parks, trails and Fitness Club. To partner in the review, plan, budget, development and, when approved, execution of projects and contractual commitments in partnership (where appropriate) with the approved Property Management Company. The committee is also responsible for amenity rules and guidelines.
Once again, they are ALL VOLLUNTEERS.
Budget & Finance Committee
To assist the VO POA in fulfilling its fiscal responsibilities by providing input regarding the monitoring and oversight of the financial resources of the VO POA. These resources include but not limited to: Cash, Physical Assets, and Investment Assets. The Committee supports the Board in this endeavor by developing and tracking the annual budgets for the Association. The committee also make recommendations on investment strategy. ALL VOLLUNTEERS
Communications Committee
To work with the Board of Directors and management company to enhance communications with Association members. This committee will work directly with the property manager to propose, create, review and coordinate certain communication pieces for the Association. ALL VOLLUNTEERS
Social Committee
This is the one that never seems to have a problem getting volunteers, everyone likes a good party right!
This committee are responsible for all the great events staged for the owners.
ALL VOLLUNTEERS
